Learning Objectives
- Identify the unique challenges and experiences that LGBTQ+ young adults face related to eating disorders, and develop strategies to address them.
- Describe the latest research and best practices for treating eating disorders in LGBTQ young adults, and create action plans for implementing them.
- Apply their knowledge and skills to provide effective treatment for LGBTQ young adults who are struggling with eating disorders, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Identify when a client or patient's needs exceed their individual scope of practice and refer them to appropriate services.
